Wow, time flies...I hope!

Ok, so I didn't realize it had been a whole month since my last post. I promise not to rant on politics this time ;)
I've been just busy enough to be lazy when I'm not. Does that make sense? I'm one of those people who thrives the more that is on my plate. Right now, I'm working about 30 hours a week, mostly mornings. And that's really it. I am not a morning person, so I come home, have lunch, nap (or fight it and wish I did), watch some TV, have dinner with the hubby, shower and go to bed. If I was working more, or doing something else, say, going to school, I'd probably write every other day! It's like housework. If I have so much to do that I schedule it, it gets done all the time, but if I have tons of free time, I continue to put it off.

My senior year of high school is my best example. I was a maniac! School started at 7:15am. I had 3 AP courses, was a member of National honor Society, and president of the drama club. I was in 3 school plays in a row, meaning I had rehearsal until at least 5pm almost every day from the beginning of September until the end of April. I still managed to get all my homework done, pull off A's and B's, work part time on weekends, do my 75 hrs of community service for my scholarship, and have a boyfriend and plenty of high school drama with my friends. I met all of my college deadlines, even travelling for interviews (they were impressed with my time management skills).

So, right, with just a part time job on my to-do list, time is just dragging! But, that's only for another 5 weeks. Things pick up after that, for the forseeable future, and I'm SUPER excited!

Come the first of September, my parents are finally coming to visit us for the first time sinceI got married! They're coming out to TX for an extended Labor Day weekend. We have seen them since the wedding, almost a year and half ago, but they have yet to see the little home we've set up. (That's right, mom, I'm callin you out ;)) I'm glad they're going to get a chance to see the city we're in. We like it a lot and we've found lots of places we want to show off and restaurants we want to eat at.

My hubby's birthday is also in September, so I'm sure we'll do something fun for that, even if it's just for a weekend. Then, I can start getting ready for the holidays! I absolutly LOVE Christmas. I'm so anxious for fall it's getting a bit ridiculous. There is a bit of a lull in October, but November kicks into high gear.

My birthday may be the first thing. Then, maybe the same weekend, my hubby finally gets his wings! His family will be coming out for that, so we have, yet again, the excitement of our family, who also has yet to visit us since our marriage coming to spend a few days in our fun city. This is a huge deal, for those who may be unfamiliar (the wings, I mean). He's been working for this for 2 years now. He will finally graduate from being a student and get to move into the real world, so to speak. But with the wings comes yet another move...So that's next on the list. We'll be moving back to Florida, again, probably by thanksgiving. But once we get to FL, I'm planning to start back to school. I am planning to take some pre requisite courses in the spring and summer terms there before we move yet again, probably at the end of next summer. It'll be our first 'permanant' station and we'll either stay in FL, or there are 2 other choices. That will be the last move (if you're keeping track that'll be 6 moves in about 3 1/2 years for me) for a few years. I'm already inquiring about finishing school in the 3 cities we could end up.

So, I'm looking forward to things picking up. I'm very excited to get back to school (actually really excited to finish school and get a real job!). Now that I've decided what I want to do, I'm very tired of wasting time. I feel like that's all I've been doing since I graduated. Just killing time until the next thing comes along. I'm really sick of it and ready to start my life! I just feel like I've had the pause button on, ya know. It's not my fault...it's no one's fault really. Just circumstance. But, the pause button comes off very soon, and then, I'm sure I'll be longing for the days when I could lay around...it'll be school, then career, then babies... and it'll all be over! No more peace and quiet. I guess it's true...the grass is always greener...

*Update...winging date is set for October 26! Sooner than expected! We're very excited, esp the hubby!
